Jimmy Kimmel’s Hilarious Jab on Fashion Week

It’s that time of the year again, fashion week! I swear, the line-up grows bigger and bigger each season. I’ve pretty much given up on watching the shows online; I only browse through slideshows of the designers that I’m dying to see.

Speaking of fashion week, even Jimmy Kimmel got in on the hype, albeit in a more satirical way. In a segment on his show entitled Lie Witness News, he shines light on how ridiculous people can get when they try too hard to come across as ultimate fashionistas.

Kimmel started off by making fun of high fashion (Thom Browne’s model looked like a bride of Frankenstein meets the Joker according to him, haha! Jokes aside, I still love Thom Browne!). He’s undercover crew then interviewed some self-proclaimed fashionistas at the site of fashion week. These fans of fashion were asked about designers and styles that Kimmel’s team made up.

Kimmel’s fake fashion correspondent asked their opinions about “designers” such as George Costanza, Joe Isuzu and Purina Chow (lol, seriously?!??). These are obviously not legitimate designers but the people being interviewed gave their opinions about these non-existent fashion collections anyway. I was laughing so hard, I mean, haven’t these guys seen Seinfeld at least?
